Opening Day 2009
We are pleased to introduce you to the new, improved, and interactive website of the Kelly Anne Dolan Memorial Fund! Our gratitude goes to our long-time partner The Huston Foundation and to PJM Interconnection for their encouragement and generosity in making this valuable communication tool possible.
The design, preparation, and detail that goes into an extensive website like this is tedious and time consuming to say the least. We started working on the site last September. I have my staff--Lorraine Aurely, Catherine Simon, and Vani Kumar--to thank for their expertise and dedication in assuring the success of this venture. We have Delpino Design to thank for their knowledge, commitment, and creativity in building it.
Our new website will allow our healthcare colleagues to apply for help for their patient families online and to track the progress of each submission. This process will lessen the time it takes to process requests for assistance and eliminate any unnecessary calls for missing information. For special programs like our Holiday Adopt-a-Family Program and the Spirit of Philadelphia Family Fun Day, referrals can be made online. We will also be able to update our donors on upcoming special events, making it possible to purchase tickets online or simply to donate online.
The end result--a more effective way to offer help to families in desperate situations caused by the increased medical and out-of-pocket expenses serious childhood illness, disability, and/or injury can bring. Even in a good economy, times are tough for families caring for seriously ill children. Add a bad economy to the mix and families caring for one or more children with a diagnosis like cancer, cystic fibrosis, Duchene's muscular dystrophy, sickle cell anemia, diabetes, seizure disorder, or cerebral palsy can find themselves in a financial tailspin.
We are here to help through advocacy, education, information, and financial assistance, but we can’t do it alone. Please join our expanding circle of friends by volunteering or donating today. We would love to hear from you.
