Tamanend Middle School's Basketball Shootout
The students, faculty, staff, and parents at Tamanend Middle School, in Warrington, PA, have gone above and beyond any organization or academic institution’s efforts in partnering with the Fund at the Tenth Annual Basketball Shootout held on Saturday, February 20.

More than 1,000 students, alumni, teachers, staff, siblings, and parents attended the event--purchasing raffle tickets, buying refreshments, singing to the karaoke machine, dancing, and cheering their friends on while challenging teachers to hoop shots; more than 500 students played three-on-three basketball games.

During the event Tamanend administrators announced that the Basketball Shootout had raised $40,102 to benefit families caring for seriously ill and disabled children. Incredibly, Tamanend has raised nearly $195,000 for the Fund at the Basketball Shootout since its inception in 1999.

We want to thank the Tamanend community for their enthusiasm, their sensitivity to the needs of others, and their dedication to our mission. The faculty and staff on the Basketball Shootout Committee, headed by Jeff Klein, are true leaders and mentors for the students entrusted to them. We have been so honored to work with all of them.
